Gum Surgery
If you’ve developed severe gum disease that requires surgery, our dentist may provide some types of the following gum surgeries to treat your problem. We also provide cosmetic gum surgery for “gummy smile”.

- Gingival Flap Surgery / Pocket Reduction – Gingival Flap Surgery / Pocket Reduction: Dentist folds back the gums and performs a deep cleaning. After healing it will be easier to clean the area on your teeth and gums.
- Crown Lengthening – Excess or overgrown gum tissue is removed. This can treat gum disease, make restorations possible, or achieve aesthetics.
- Gum Graft – A piece of donor tissue is taken from your palate and stitches into the place where you have localized gum recession. This helps even the gum line and reduces sensitivity.
- Gum Regeneration – This involves placing a small piece of tissue-stimulating protein material between the bone and gum tissue to allow bone to regrow.
